  • Delete - not notable, really not something that anyone outside St. Louis cares about. (Should be User:Stellertony)
  • Delete - all we learn is that these are served in St. Louis & of course, that they are sandwiches made from fried brains. Wolfman 04:46, 22 Sep 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep - In an era when our cuisines and palates are becoming homogenous, it is of value to preserve information about regional cultural differences. Bbpen 05:37, 28 Sep 2004 (UTC) Added just a bit to entry Bbpen 15:09, 28 Sep 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. More notable than slashdot trolls. Norm 15:29, 28 Sep 2004 (UTC)
  • Move to Wikibooks Cookbook:Fried-brain sandwich. --Viriditas 12:52, 8 Oct 2004 (UTC)
    • agree with move. CB Droege 15:53, 30 Oct 2004 (UTC)
      • This is not a recipe, it's an article about a kind of food. The things that should be moved to Wikibooks are, basically, articles that consist mostly of a specific list of ingredients followed by a specific procedure for preparing a particular version of some kind of food. "Aunt Edna's Crispy Hot Fried-Brain Sandwich. Ingredients: one cup brains. Note: brains must be absolutely fresh. One cup flour. 2 T baking soda...." • Keep. Is important for people outside of St. Louis as it was in the national spotlight during the mad cow scare. (should be User:168.150.253.56)
  • Although this has several votes, I don't believe it was previously posted on VfD. Keep. Cool Hand Luke 03:43, 30 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Doesn't seem non-notable. Keep. [[User:Rhymeless|Rhymeless | (Methyl Remiss)]] 07:05, 30 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. Seems interesting enough. --Yuninjie 08:06, 30 Oct 2004 (UTC)

  • Keep. BBpen's decent new stub. Seems interesting to me. It's definitely not a recipe. It's a description of a regional food item, one I'd never heard of. I'd like a little more confirmation of just how common this is. Here's a mention of it being eaten in an Indiana town. Would be especially interesting if this actual food item was the inspiration of the colloquial phrase "my brain is fried" and/or the "this is your brain on drugs" public-service ads... • Keep. I wouldn't mind giving it a try. Jeff Knaggs 16:12, 30 Oct 2004 (UTC)
    • Fifteen years ago I would tried them—it—whatever—myself. But unless they can establish that cooking kills prions, forget it. My brain is spongy enough, thank you. [[User:Dpbsmith|Dpbsmith (talk)]] 19:59, 30 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Not notable. --Improv 20:04, 30 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. It's interesting and I think it is notable for the reasons Bbpen gave. I would never try it. NeoJustin 23:08 Oct 30, 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep, the fact that people in some part of the world eat cow brains is notable because of BSE. Gazpacho 23:27, 30 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep, sure, a nice little bit of cultural info. Everyking 04:48, 1 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. No reason why it should be considered irrelevant. Iñgólemo←• 06:11, 2004 Nov 4 (UTC)
  • Definate Keep. Local, unusual dishes that are unheard of nearly anywhere else are DEFINATELY worth keeping. Fascinating. A big advantage for Wikipedia over other 'pedias. See also Garbage plate. Terrapin 15:04, 4 Nov 2004 (UTC)
