Supercharged is the upcoming eleventh studio album by American punk rock band the Offspring, set to be released on October 11, 2024, by Concord Records.[1] It will be their first album with bassist Todd Morse as an official member and the first album with multi-instrumentalist Jonah Nimoy and drummer Brandon Pertzborn. The bass duties were taken partly by singer and guitarist Dexter Holland, while drum duties were split between Pertzborn and Josh Freese. It is also their shortest album, with a runtime of 30 minutes and 15 seconds.
Background and recording[edit]
In a September 2022 interview with Brazilian radio station 89FM A Rádio Rock, frontman Dexter Holland confirmed that the Offspring had begun working on new material for their eleventh studio album: "...[W]e wanna keep things rolling. We had to take time off in the pandemic and we feel like, 'We're back at it. Let's make the most of it right now.' So we're working on a new album."[2][3] Holland told Times Colonist in November that the band would begin recording their new album in January 2023 with Bob Rock.[4] The Offspring announced on social media in March 2023 that they were "back in the studio."[5] In a May 2024 interview with Atlanta's 99X radio station, Holland and guitarist Noodles confirmed that the band's eleventh studio album was completed and that they were working on the cover art and album title.[6][7] The following month, it was announced that the album was titled Supercharged and will be released on October 11, 2024. The first single from the album, "Make It All Right", was released on June 7.[1]
